List of Impact Player In IPL 2024 – All Teams – Daily Update List. The BCCI introduced the Impact Player Rule in the IPL 2023 season and brought a major change in IPL history. This rule was implemented in Syed Mushtaq Ali earlier this year and later it was introduced in the IPL 2023 season. Both teams are allowed to use one impact player per match. However, it is not mandatory. It depends on the teams whether they want to use impact players or not. According to the IPL 2023 schedule, defending champions Gujarat Titans will take on Chennai Super Kings to play their first match of the season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on March 31.
An impact player can also be called a substitute. You should also tell everyone that the Impact Player Rule will be used only in domestic cricket leagues. Not only this, its use has just started in cricket. But this rule is used in many sports such as – football, hockey, etc. But the name of the impact player has to be told to the captain at the time of the toss. The captain can have 5 players, out of which any team can use only one impact player during the match. Impact players can be used by any team at any time, both in batting and bowling.

List of Impact Player In IPL : What is the impact player rule?
For the first time in IPL 2023, the impact player rule is going to be implemented. Under this rule, now 12 players will be able to play in the match instead of 11. During the match, one player from the playing 11 can be dropped and replaced by a new player. For this, after the toss, both captains will have to give the names of 5-5 substitute players. The team will be able to choose one of these four players selected by the captain as an impact player. This player can be used by the batting and bowling team at any time in the match. This 12th player can change the attitude of the match as soon as he lands on the field.
