WBBSE School Holiday List 2025: Summer vacations in elementary schools were reduced. However, summer breaks at secondary level schools increased. The Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) announced on Wednesday that there will be 11 summer holidays in 2025. It was 10 days in 2024. However, the state government has extended the holiday. As the last few years have been getting warmer, many people think that this phenomenon can be repeated in 2025. In 2025, Puja was celebrated for 25 days.
Regarding the sample holiday list published by the Board, general secretary of Shikshanuragi Ekta Manch, Kinkar Adhikari, said, ‘The list of holidays has been published by the Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad for the academic year 2025. However, the school has been asked to observe from attending school in the case of multiple holidays. We demand that these days be declared as working days and not as holidays. But it was not preserved.’
In addition, if the number of holidays was brought back to 85 in view of the current situation, schools would have been able to offer summer holidays according to regional conditions. Year-round study plans were not disrupted. But it turns out that, unplanned, the state government declares a long holiday and stops the shooting at the school. This greatly impairs reading. We urge you to accept this demand.’
