Congress Candidates List Haryana 2024 for Lok sabha elections is released now. The Congress on Thursday announced its candidates for eight Lok Sabha seats in Haryana. Prominent among them are former Union Minister Kumari Selja and Rajya Sabha member Deepender Hooda. Selja has been nominated for Sirsa and Deepender Hooda from Rohtak.

According to the list of candidates released by the party, it has fielded Haryana Pradesh Youth Congress president Divyanshu Budhiraja against former chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar from Karnal Lok Sabha constituency.

The other candidates are Varun Chaudhary from Ambala, Jai Prakash from Hisar, Rao Dan Singh from Bhiwani-Mahendergarh, Satpal Brahmachari from Sonipat and Mahendra Pratap from Faridabad. After a long tussle between former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and leaders considered to be part of his rival faction and intense consultations in the party, the party has announced the candidates for Haryana. However, the party has not yet declared a candidate for Gurugram. The Congress is contesting the Haryana elections in alliance with the Aam Aadmi Party. The Congress is contesting on nine seats and the Aam Aadmi Party is on the lone Lok Sabha seat in Kurukshetra. Check the full list of all candidates below

Congress Candidates List Haryana: Lok Sabha Election Voting Date

Haryana will go to the polls on May 25, 2024. In Haryana, polling for all 10 parliamentary seats will be held in a single phase, which will be held in the sixth phase on May 25, 2024. In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections in the state, the BJP won all 10 seats in the state.  In the 2014 elections, BJP won 7 seats while Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) won 2 seats and Congress got only one seat.

In Haryana, polling will be held in a single phase on May 25, 2024, for 10 seats in Haryana, which will be held in the sixth phase (May 25), including Ambala, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, Hisar, Karnal, Sonepat, Rohtak, Bhiwani-Mahendragarh, Gurugram and Faridabad.

  • Phase 1 will go to polls on April 19 in 102 constituencies across 21 states.
  • In Phase 2, on April 26, voting will be held in 88 seats of 12 states.
  • Phase 3 will go to polls on May 7 in 94 constituencies across 13 states.
  • In Phase 4, on May 13, voting will be held in 96 seats of 10 states.
  • In phase 5, in this phase, on May 20, voting will be held in 49 seats in 8 states
  • In phase 6, on May 25, voting will be held in 57 seats in 7 states
  • In phase 7, on June 1, voting will be held in 57 seats of 8 states.

The result date has been kept on 4 June 2024. On this day final result of the Lok Sabha elections is to be declared. This time elections will be held in 7 phases across the country and the results will be declared on June 4, 2024. This will be the longest-running general election in India, lasting a total of 44 days. Incumbent Prime Minister Narendra Modi will complete his second term and will contest for the third consecutive term.
