What is PM Awas Yojana?

- A specific group of people, such as Divyangjan or senior citizens, is given a loan at a very low interest rate.
- Eligible citizens residing in the plains are given assistance of up to ₹120000. Citizens living in hilly areas are given financial assistance of up to Rs 130,000.
- Under this scheme, additional assistance up to ₹12000 is provided if you build a toilet in your home.
- The amount received under the scheme is transferred directly to your bank account.

- Only permanent residents of India can apply for this scheme.
- The person applying to the plan should not already have a pucca house.
- The age of the person applying is required to be above minimum 18 years.
- The annual income of the person applying should be between ₹3,00,000 and Rs 6 lakh.
- The name of the person applying, if the ration card or BPL is in the list, will be much better.
