PM Awas Yojana List 2025: Apply Online @ pmay.gov.in List. In a significant stride towards addressing the housing shortage in urban India, the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana continues to make waves. Launched on June 25, 2015, by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), this flagship mission aims to provide all-weather pucca houses to eligible urban households by the year 2022, coinciding with India’s 75th Independence Day.

The PMAY has two components. The first is PM Awas Yojana -Urban. This targets city dwellers. The second is PM Awas Yojana-Gramin. This focuses on rural areas. Both aim to help the economically weaker sections of society. They also include lower-income groups, middle-income groups, and slum dwellers.

Under PMAY-Urban, beneficiaries can receive subsidies on home loans. The subsidy amount depends on the income group. For instance, those earning up to Rs. 6 lakh per year can get an interest subsidy of 6.5%. This makes home loans affordable for many families. The government also offers subsidies for home repairs and renovations.

PM Awas Yojana – Gramin aims to provide pucca houses. These houses have basic amenities like water, electricity, and sanitation. The scheme covers people living in kutcha houses. These are houses made of mud and other weak materials.

The government partners with banks and housing finance companies to provide easy loans. The scheme also promotes the use of eco-friendly construction materials. This helps in building sustainable and durable homes.

Many families have already benefited from PM Awas Yojana. However, challenges remain. Land acquisition and financial constraints are major hurdles. Despite these, the government remains positive.

PMAY is a significant step towards housing for all. It brings hope to millions of families dreaming of owning a home. The scheme is not just about houses. It’s about building a better future for India.
