Modi Foreign Visits List 2024: Previous & Upcoming Visits. Since taking over as Prime Minister of India in 2014, Narendra Modi has been on a long diplomatic trip. It is September 22, 2024, and the Prime Minister has already been on 80 trips abroad. His main goal on these trips was to meet with world leaders. Along with bilateral discussions, he made a number of state visits, such as the one to the US last year, where President Joe Biden gave him a cordial welcome. Besides that, he took part in a lot of foreign summits, including the one where he spoke to the UN at a time when the whole world was becoming more divided. List of countries visited by him for first time ever as Indian Prime Minister

Here is the list of all countries where Modi, as a prime minister, visited the first time:

Nepal: In May 2015, Narendra Modi was the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Nepal. He signed a number of agreements with other countries during his stay.

Palestine: In February 2018, PM Modi was the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Palestine. During his trip, he signed six deals worth a total of about $50 million. One of these deals was to build a $30 million super specialty hospital in Beit Sahoor. He also got the Grand Collar of the State of Palestine, which is the country’s top civilian award.

Rwanda: In July 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to visit the East African country. As well as talking with the business community, he had a meeting with the president of Rwanda. The prime minister visited the Genocide Memorial and took part in a discussion about “Girinka,” which stands for “one cow per family” and refers to President Paul Kagame’s national social security program in Rwanda.

Japan: Narendra Modi was the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Japan in 2017. Seven Memorandums of Understanding were filled during the stay.

Bahrain: In August 2019, PM Modi went to the Kingdom of Bahrain. This was the very first time that an Indian Prime Minister came to the Kingdom. They talked with Prime Minister His Royal Highness Prince Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and other important people. A lot of Indians who lived outside of India talked to him.

Papua New Guinea: The Indian leader who went to Papua New Guinea was Prime Minister Modi. In May 2023, he went to the third-largest island country in the world.

Ukraine: On Thursday (August 23), PM Modi was the first Indian leader to visit war-torn Ukraine. For the first time since the two countries formed diplomatic ties in 1992, an Indian leader has visited the country. India is trying to find a middle ground in its position on the war between Russia and Ukraine, which is why he is visiting.
