Jharkhand Ministers List 2024: Jharkhand has sworn in Hemant Soren as its Chief Minister for the fourth time. He took the oath alone at Thursday’s oath-taking ceremony. It is believed that the Hemant Soren government can include MLAs as ministers after they win the trust vote. Several leaders of the India Alliance, including Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav, Arvind Kejriwal and Tejashwi Yadav, attended the oath ceremony of Hemant Soren.
Ghulam Ahmed Mir, the Congress general secretary in charge of Jharkhand, had previously stated that the assembly’s trust vote would trigger the cabinet expansion. Before taking oath, Soren, dressed in a kurta-pyjama, met JMM president and his father, Shibu Soren. In the recently held Assembly polls, Hemant Soren retained the Barhait seat by defeating the BJP’s Gamaliyal Hembrom by 39,791 votes. The JMM-led alliance retained its majority by securing 56 seats in the Jharkhand Assembly polls, while the BJP-led NDA got 24 seats.
