War of 1947-1948-lasted 1 year (Kashmir war)

The first war between India and Pakistan took place over Jammu and Kashmir. The war began in 1947 and ended with the armistice on 1 January 1949 at 11:59 pm. India retained control of two-thirds of Kashmir, while Pakistan occupied Gilgit-Baltistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK).

India and Pakistan were liberated in 1947, but only a few days after independence, the clouds of fighting between India and Pakistan began to hover. Kashmir was also the cause of this war. After independence, in 1947, riots broke out in Kashmir and amid the rising insurgency, Pakistan sent tribal forces to Kashmir and fighting ensued. During that time, the Indian Army took the lead in Kashmir. The war was pacified through the UN.

War of 1965-lasted 17 Days (Second Kashmir war)

The war began on 5 August 1965 and ended with an armistice on 23 September 1965. India had advanced as far as Lahore, but the two countries withdrew after UN intervention and the Tashkent Agreement. If the war had not stopped, Lahore would have been occupied by India Today. The UN had declared a ceasefire and the two countries had signed an agreement in Tashkent. In this agreement, the two countries abandoned territorial claims and withdrew their forces from the disputed territory.

In this war, India had to return the land of Pakistan. The Indian Army had approached Lahore in Pakistan. Then, on September 23, 1965, a ceasefire was declared. India’s victory in this war increased Indias stature in the world and gave it a new identity. If the ceasefire between the two countries had not been concluded on September 23 and the terms of the Tashkent agreement had not been met, India would have had Lahore today.

On March 20, 1965, Pakistan deliberately started clashes in the Rann of Kutch. Initially, only border security forces were involved. Later, the two countries joined forces. Then on June 1, 1965, British Prime Minister Harold Wilson stopped the fight between the two sides and established a fair arbitral court to resolve the dispute.

War of 1971-lasted 13 days (Bangladesh Liberation War)

This war is considered India’s biggest military victory so far. In the war that lasted from December 3 to December 16, 1971, India defeated Pakistan and Bangladesh was formed. The Pakistani army surrendered in Dhaka. The year 1971 was very important for India and Pakistan along with Bangladesh. This year, Bangladesh fought for its survival. Bangladesh fought to break away from Pakistan and emerge as a new nation, in which India supported it.

In 1947, Bengal was divided into East and West Bengal. West Bengal remained under India while East Bengal was renamed East Pakistan, which was under West Pakistan (Pakistan). There were a large number of Bengali speaking Bengalis here and this was the reason that East Pakistan (Bangladesh) on linguistic grounds tried to get out of the dominance of Pakistan and played the bugle of independence.

During this time, Bangladesh had to pay a big price to see the sun of independence. During this time, mass slaughter took place, about two lakh women were raped. On the one hand, the 1971 war was being fought under the leadership of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. On the other hand, women were fighting to save their dignity and dignity.

Kargil war of 1999 – lasted about 60 days

Iki ran from May 3 to July 1999. In the BHAs war, Pakistan tried to capture the heights of Kargil and the Indian army regained these peaks through Operation Vijay. The war ended on 26 July 1999, which is celebrated today as Kargil victory day. The story of this war that lasted 84 days is 25 years old today.

Kargil’s biggest challenge was that the enemy was sitting on the mountains above and the Indian troops were below. The most helpful weapon for the Indian Army to deal with such enemies was the Bofors guns. The special feature of these guns was that they could fire shells even at high altitude targets. Bofors was very light in weight. The war that began in May now reaches the month of June.

In July, Indian troops won victory at Tiger Hill. On the night of 7-8 July 1999, Indian troops stormed and occupied areas of reverse slopes, cuts and collars till 8 am on 8 July. This meant that Tiger Hill was now fully occupied by India.

After this, Delhi was informed about Fatah on Tiger Hills. Soon after the news was confirmed, General Malik informed Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee of the prime minister’s security adviser Brijesh Mishra. After the victory over the Tiger Hills, the Indian Army advanced from the South-Western taste and drove the enemy from other peaks.

In the war that lasted for about 3 months, many soldiers of the country lost their lives, but Tiger Hill also played an important role in the entire war. The entire country salutes Tiger Hill and the martyrdom of the soldiers who died in this entire war.
