Muslim MP List in Lok Sabha 2024 Who Win Election this year: Members for the 18th Lok Sabha elections have been elected. A new government will be formed soon. Modi government is going to be formed for the third time. The list of members of the 18th Lok Sabha has also been released. This time 24 Muslim MPs have been elected to Parliament.

It includes big faces like Yusuf Pathan, Asaduddin Owaisi, and Iqra Chaudhary. A total of 78 Muslim candidates contested the Lok Sabha elections in 2024. It also includes independent candidates. In 2019, 115 Muslim candidates had contested. Here we are going to give the list of all Muslim MPs.

Compared to 2019, the number of Muslims becoming MPs has increased by only 2. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the lowest turnout was 22. In 1980, their attendance was the highest in the Lok Sabha at 49.

The Congress, TMC, SP, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) and Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) together fielded only 78 Muslim candidates. In 2019, there were 115 candidates in the fray. The BJP has fielded one Muslim candidate and its ally Janata Dal-United (JD-U) in Bihar. The Muslim MP List is provided below.

Cricketer-turned-politician Yusuf Pathan contested the Lok Sabha election for the first time. He was made the TMC candidate from Baharampur in West Bengal. The special thing is that Yusuf Pathan defeated Congress’ Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury.

In Uttar Pradesh, Congress’ Imran Masood won the Saharanpur seat by a huge margin of 64,542 votes. In Kairana, Samajwadi Party’s Iqra Chaudhary, one of the youngest MPs. Iqra defeated BJP’s Pradeep Kumar by a margin of 69,116 votes. In the Lok Sabha elections, Muslim candidates have won by winning 7 of Congress, 4 of Samajwadi Party, 5 of TMC, 3 of IUML, 2 of National Conference and 2 Independent Muslim candidates.

When was the highest number of Muslim MPs elected to the Lok Sabha?

The lowest number of MPs reached the Lok Sabha in 2014 and the highest in the 1980 Lok Sabha election. There were 27 Muslim MPs elected in the 17th Lok Sabha. The lowest number of Muslim MPs was in the 16th Lok Sabha. In the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, only 22 Muslim MPs were elected to the Lok Sabha.

The highest number of Muslim MPs were elected in the 1980 Lok Sabha elections. A total of 49 MPs reached the Lok Sabha in the seventh Lok Sabha. In the table below, see the details of which party’s Muslim candidate won from which Lok Sabha seat and reached Parliament.
