GATE Subjects List 2026 with Paper Codes: GATE examination is conducted for admission to proposed M Tech programmes in IITs, NITs, IIITs and CFTIs. Many candidates often have the question of whether M Tech is the only option after the GATE exam or any other option after the gate.

Previously, candidates were admitted to the M Tech program through the gate, but now there are many options for students who pass the Graduate Aptitude Test in engineering. Various PSU recruits are based on gate rank. Furthermore, these candidates may opt to study abroad.
