TIME World Best Companies 2024 List: Check Full List. Adani Group, a major integrated business company, was named one of TIME magazine’s “World’s Best Companies of 2024.” Statista, a global website for industry rankings and data, helped make the list. In spite of that, they did not make the top 100. In a list of 1,000 companies, the Adani Group came in at number 752 this time. Reliance Industries came in at number 646 this year.
To be fair, there is not a single other Indian company in the top 100. HCLTech is the best Indian company, ranking 112th. Infosys is next, at 119th, and Wipro is third, at 134th. There are many more Indian companies in the top 500, including some that are not as well known, like the Motherson Group, which makes car parts, which came in ahead of the Adani Group, which has eight publicly traded companies.

The Ahmedabad-based Adani Group’s activities span across energy and utilities, transport and logistics, natural resources and consumer sectors. The ranking, which Statista and Time released, evaluated 1,000 of the top businesses worldwide. The ranking methodology includes a combination of data related to employee satisfaction surveys, revenue growth figures and environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) practices.
According to the group statement, the 2024 list of the world’s best companies is the result of an in-depth analysis based on three main aspects:
- The satisfaction of the employees: In the surveys conducted with nearly 1,70,000 participants in more than 50 countries, companies were evaluated on the basis of working conditions, salary, equity, overall image of the company and recommendations.
- Increase in revenue: The companies that were evaluated had revenues of more than USD100 million in 2023 and showed growth from 2021 to 2023.
- Stability (ESG) The companies were evaluated on the basis of ESG KPIs derived from Statista’s ESG database and research.
Of the 11 listed companies in the Adani portfolio, 8 were included in this valuation, while the remaining three companies are subsidiaries of these eight companies. The approved companies are

- Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited
- Adani Green Energy Limited
- Adani Energy Solutions Limited
- Adani Total Gas Limited
- Ambuja Cements Limited
- Adani Power Limited
- Adani Wilmar Limited.
