National Teacher Award 2024 Winners List: The group in charge of school education and reading in the ministry of education has released the names of the 50 teachers who will receive the National Teachers’ Awards 2024. On Thursday, President Draupadi Murmu will hand out the awards at Vigyan Bhawan.

The ministry says that the teachers were chosen after a tough three-step process that included tests at the district, state, and national levels. “The purpose of the National Teachers’ Award is to celebrate the unique contribution of teachers in the country and to honour those teachers who, through their commitment and dedication, have not only improved the quality of education but also enriched the lives of their students,” a statement from the ministry said.

What is included in the award?

“Each award comes with a silver medal, a certificate of achievement, and Rs. 50,000 in cash.” It also said that the winners would have a chance to talk to the Hon’ble Prime Minister.

The awardees come from 28 states and 3 union territories, which gives them a wide range of regional and social backgrounds. In addition, trainers from six different groups have also been honored.The 50 teachers chosen come from 28 states, 3 UTs, and 6 organizations.

Out of the 50 teachers chosen, 34 are men, 16 are women, 2 have special needs, and one works with CWSN. 16 teachers from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and 16 teachers from the Department of Higher Education will also be given awards.
