Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jensen Huang have generated $10 trillion in wealth. This spike is mostly due to US technology equities, which have helped billionaires. Tech executives including Larry Ellison, Jeff Bezos, Michael Dell, Larry Page and Sergey Brin have grown rich. The Bloomberg Billionaires Index reported that these eight technological moguls alone contributed over $600 billion to the world’s wealthiest’ $1.5 trillion gain. China has 473 billionaires, India 200, and the US 813 billion, according to Forbes’ 2025 World’s Billionaires List.
According to Forbes’ newest rankings, Elon Musk started 2025 as the world’s richest person with $433.9 billion. Due to SpaceX’s $350 billion value, Musk became the first person to cross $400 billion last year. Musk’s fortune has grown by $91 billion since December 1, making SpaceX the world’s most valuable private corporation.
Musk owns Tesla, X, xAI, and Boring Co. in addition to SpaceX. Nvidia CEO and co-founder Jensen Huang into the top 10 richest persons for the first time. Huang is 10th and valued at at $118 billion, mostly from his Nvidia shareholding. In 2024, the company’s shares rose 171% to $3.28 trillion, making it more valuable than Microsoft but behind Apple. Huang has eclipsed Zara founder Amancio Ortega, whose fortune has eroded owing to stock market falls.
