Region Expected Countries
Asia South Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, Indonesia
North America United States, Canada

This list is speculative and based on their past tour patterns and popular demand. Monitor the official announcements from Big Hit Entertainment for the confirmed schedule.

Which BTS Members Are Currently in the Military?

All able-bodied South Korean men must serve 18 months in the military before turning 28.

After turning 28 in 2020, BTS’ oldest member Jin became one of the first K-pop singers to receive a statutory exemption. In acknowledgment of BTS’s “enhancing Korea’s international image,” South Korea gave him a two-year deferral in joining the army.

BTS ended a years-long dispute in South Korea by announcing in October 2022 that they will complete their two-year army service, despite various exemptions for other sports and performers.

In June 2024, Jin became the first member to finish military service after enlisting on December 13, 2023. J-Hope, Suga, RM, Jimin, V, and Jung Kook enlisted in December 2024 after him.

When are BTS reuniting for the world tour?

In June 2025, everyone in BTS will leave the South Korean military. They should have time to get ready for getting together again!

Big Hit stated that BTS will be taking a break in 2022 and said that they would get back together “around 2025,” after all seven members finish their service. But it might take a year for them to come back.

HYBE CFO Lee Kyung-jun talked about BTS’s plans for the future during the company’s earnings call on November 5, 2024, for the third quarter. When asked about how BTS would affect the economy in 2026, Lee said, “We are currently talking with the members about (BTS’) full-fledged group activities for 2026.”

“We haven’t decided on plans for 2026 yet,” the CFO said. A full-group reunion of BTS would bring in a lot of money, but other artists’ success and new business ventures mean that BTS’ share of the overall income is not likely to be as large as it used to be.

Is the BTS reunion getting postponed?

Since J-Hope finished his military service, BTS reunion rumors have circulated. Rumors circulated that the band will rejoin for a 2025 world tour. Recent sources suggest the reunion will be delayed until 2026. Thus comes after BTS’ management agency HYBE released a statement hinting at their plans. The news went viral, disappointing many.

BTS Army clarified on X that the boy band never indicated a 2025 reunion would be their musical comeback. According to a fan, 2025 was only for the BTS reunion, not music. Not robots, they need time to make their masterpiece.”
