Baftas 2025 Nominations List: The British Academy announced this year’s Bafta nominations before the presentation at London’s Royal Festival Hall on February 16, 2025.

The nominations follow the January 3rd publication of this year’s movie longlist. On January 15, 2024, EE Rising Star winner Mia McKenna-Bruce and BAFTA-winner Will Sharpe revealed the results of the second round of voting, which ran from January 3 to 10.

In 12 categories, including ‘Best Director’ and ‘Best Film’, Edward Berger’s Conclave has the most nominations. Emilia Pérez received 11 nominations, including Best Director and Best Film. Kneecap is another British Academy debut winner with six nominations, making it the most-nominated picture ever.

Another nine-nominated film was The Brutalist. Anora, Dune: Part Two, and Wicked each get seven nominations.

Despite being on the ‘Supporting Actor’ longlist for Gladiator II, Denzel Washington did not make the shortlist and has yet to get a Bafta nomination.

Warwick Davis will receive the Bafta Fellowship on February 16th as the sole confirmed Bafta winner. This medal honors persons who have “made an outstanding and exceptional contribution to film, games or television.”

BAFTA Chair Sara Putt said, “We are delighted to present Warwick Davis the Bafta Fellowship award; our highest honour. Warwick has been talented, loved, and inspiring, captivating audiences for decades.

“The Fellowship, to me, embodies Bafta’s spirit of inclusivity, creativity, and collaboration,” added the Star Wars star. This accolade is about my work, my supporters, and the audiences who have made this journey worthwhile. I accept this fellowship in honor of everyone with dwarfism or any other difference, reminding us that our uniqueness may be our greatest asset.”

David Tennant will host the Baftas again following a successful 2024 run.
